Beaujolais Nouveau 2016
26.08.2016Burgundy and Beaujolais are enjoying great and beautiful summer days. The vineyard has grown very nicely and the ripeness is developing very quickly.
The situation is very healthy. There are neither diseases nor rot. The vineyards that produce the Beaujolais primeur did not suffer frost or hail and we expect a normal crop.
The overall production should be similar to the one of last year.
Today we plan to begin the harvest earlier than expected a month ago, maybe around September 15th.
This week will be sunny and hot, which will again accelerate the maturity. There is no sign of dryness, in other words everything looks great!
Next report in 15 days.
