Some news from the vineyards

After a harsh and often snowy winter, the vine is reawakening, and maybe too quickly.
Night-moths (those parasites called "coupe-bourgeons" which, at nightfall, appear in vinestocks) and other grape-worms (insects which eat the flower buds) had little time to act. The vegetation started to grow rapidly due to hot temperatures (26°C on April 7th) ... reminding us of 2007.

It is wintry weather. Only yesterday, snow showers covered the top of the hills of our vineyards. Last week, during only one or two days, the average temperature (between mini and maxi) was higher than 10°C and gave the vine the first sign of a real wakening.
