Frédéric Drouhin, new president of PFV association
13.07.2011Frédéric DROUHIN, representing the fourth generation of Maison Joseph Drouhin in Burgundy, has just been appointed as the new President of the Primum Familiae Vini Association.
Primum Familiae Vini, the "first families of wine", is known as PFV. This international association was created in 1992 by Robert Drouhin and Miguel Torres.
Currently, it comprises 11 European family estates among the most prestigious wine producers of their regions. Each year, in turn, one member of the association takes over the Presidency.
The aim of the PFV members is to defend the values and ethics of family-owned companies and ensure that such ideals survive and prosper for future generations, to exchange viticultural and oenological information, and promote the moderate consumption of wine, which is considered to be a cultural tradition of conviviality.
Frédéric says : « My objective, as President, is to reinforce our association among professionals and individual amateurs, thanks to numerous tastings organized around the world and also the complete revision of the internet website PFV.org.
